      Disposition:

→ Short-tempered: Enji is notoriously impatient and hard to deal with; he has no time for games and won't let anyone waste his time. Despite being the Number 1 Hero, he's not as well-loved (personality-wise) as some other, more friendly heroes because he can be brash, abrasive, and short with fans to the point of refusing to give autographs to fans while out in public. He's well known for not being able to keep up appearances: not in general, he's always pristine and gets the job done, but in PR methods. He struggles with projecting the image he wants to project, but he somehow still has fans in the end despite his bad attitude.

→ Competitive: Enji has been obsessed with becoming the Number 1 Hero for years. He worked hard for his place, and worked harder to raise his rank. He made Number 1 Hero, but only because All-Might retired. He doesn't see that as a true victory, but it's all he's going to get. That aspect bothers him deeply. His streak runs even deeper, however: he went to the lengths of choosing his wife because of her quirk; an ice-based quirk to match with his fire so that he could raise a hero with all the strengths of ice and flame quirks and none of the weaknesses. This only works with one child, Shoto, who still isn't completely without weaknesses. The other children are either completely ice or completely fire. But the fact that he did all of that to get the perfect quirk in his children is just an example of how competitive he really is.

→ Hard-working: Enji spends a huge amount of time just working. He never takes a day off, he's always there when a hero is needed, and he'll work until the job is done no matter what it takes. Even while horribly wounded he'll try to keep going. He expects the same of others: his sidekicks all work hard as well, all of them, of which he has many. There's a constant rotation of flame heroes at his agency, and they're all expected to put as much into it as Enji himself does. He never expects more than he's willing to put in, but it's still a lot to expect of people because Enji is such a workaholic himself. With the lack of a healthy home life, he's definitely a trope of a father that works too hard to be properly present.

→ Strict: Enji is extremely strict with his youngest child Shoto, but recently in the manga it's been revealed that it's the result of family trauma from years ago. His harsh training has a purpose, but that same trauma makes him hard on other kids too, like the students of UA. He's not a bad person, he just expects a lot. The mentioned trauma is that when his oldest son, Touya, was a child, he felt so pressured to conform to his father's wishes that he kept pushing himself too hard, and when Enji realized that Touya was hurting himself with his quirk he stopped their training, but Touya saw that as being abandoned because Enji was starting to train Shoto and pushed himself harder, to the point of immolating himself. The entire family thought Touya died in that fire, but Touya (at an extremely young age) faked his own death and went on to grow up into the villain Dabi. Enji doesn't know this until later, but Touya's tragic "death" is a huge aspect of why he's so strict with Shoto, his only other child with a flame quirk: he doesn't want a repeat of Touya, so he has to train Shoto hard enough that he'll never hurt himself with his own quirk.

→ Redemption: Later on in canon he seems to turn over a new leaf; he starts to treat emotional situations with more care, and he's working on himself to become a better person than he was before. He's working to make amends with his family and even if they don't forgive him he states that he's going to keep doing his best by them because it's what they deserve. He bought a separate home to live in away from his children so they don't have to live with him anymore but are still being taken care of on their father's dime in their childhood home. He seems to genuinely want to make amends and better himself for the sake of his family, and it bleeds into his professional life as well. His son Touya has large plans that include ruining his father's reputation: he goes live on broadcast to paint him in a dark light, calling him a horrible abuser. While Enji was never a perfect parent, and some of his actions WERE in certain ways abusive, he was never purposely hurting his children and he's come to terms with what he did and trying to make things better. A huge aspect that calls to me is the part where he's not demanding forgiveness: that's how you know his repentance is genuine.

Under pressure: Dude Enji is amazing under pressure. He doesn't snap or crack, he pushes on until the job is done in emergency situations. HOWEVER. With long-term pressure such as is going to be in-game, it's going to make him rougher and more snippy and frankly ruder. He doesn't want to deal with this. He will, because he has to, but he's not going to enjoy it and he's not going to make it a nice time for anyone else. See: he'll probably get more manna out of sparring than anything else because it's what suits him best.

Condition upon arrival: Extremely wounded. He'll hold on for the duration of the crater, but he's probably going to eat shit as soon as they're rescued once the adrenaline runs out.

Abilities: Okay so like hear me out. His quirk (powers) are entirely based in flames, so he uses them for everything in hero work. Subdue a criminal or villain? Fire. A shield to keep out projectiles from enemies? Fire. Need to fly? Fire. (Don't ask. He uses the flame as a propulsion tool.) Need a BEARD AND MUSTACHE? Fire. No, I'm not kidding.

His fire powers are extremely strong, so I wouldn't be opposed to nerfing him a bit, but since they're such an integral part of his character, I wouldn't be comfortable taking them away entirely.

      Inventory: Hero suit.

      Gembond: Ruby.
Gem Location: On top of his left eye.
